There is such a thing as
psychiatric control. A patient signed into the hospital should be aware
that the practice of locked wards, drugging, forced intramuscular (IM)
injections, confinement, restraints, and isolation are used in the treatment
of persons with mental health issues. The staff determines when a patient
is "a danger to oneself or others" and intervenes with control measures
